FAQ's

Temporary Registration of vehicles will be done by the Dealer at the time of purchase of the vehicle by collecting required tax and fee.

• Original Temporary Registration Certificate duly signed and stamped by the dealer

• Form-20 (Duly signed by the owner/In duplicate in case of Hire Purchase/ Hypothecation / Lease duly signed by the Owner and Financier)
• Copies of Form-21 and Invoice issued by the Dealer.

• Form 22 issued by the Manufacturer

• Copy of the Insurance Certificate
• Tax payment receipt.
Note:
The details of Owner like Individual/ Company/ Organisation/ Institution has to be verified and the number of vehicles the Owner possesses to check the details of tax payments to arrive at the different rates of taxes applicable as per Taxation Act and Rules for the payments made at the Dealer.

Validity: 30 days from the date of issue.

Delivery of Documents – Along with the vehicle delivery by the dealer.

1. On payment of fee of Rs.50,000 (Rupees fifty thousand only) for any one of the numbers l, 9, 999, 9999.
2. On payment of fee of Rs.30,000 (Rupees thirty thousand only) for anyone of the numbers 99, 333, 555, 666, 777,888,2222,3333, 4444 , 5555, 6666, 7777, 8888.
3. On payment of fee of Rs.20,000 (Rupees twenty thousand only) for anyone of the numbers 123, 222, 369, 444, 567,786,1111, 1116, 3366, 3456, 4455.
4. On payment of fee of Rs.10,000 (Rupees ten thousand only) for anyone of the numbers 3, 5, 6. 7, 111, 234, 306, 405, 789, 818, 909, 1188,1234, 1314, 1818, 1899, 2277, 2772, 2345, 2727, 2799, 3636, 3663, 3699, 4545, 4554, 4567, 4599, 5678, 6336, 6633, 6789, 7227, 7722, 8118, 8811, 9009, 9099.
5. On payment of fee of Rs.5,000/-(Rupees five thousand only) for anyone of the numbers other than those mentioned against the clauses (i) (ii) (iii) and (iv) above in respect of all vehicles except two wheelers for which a fee of Rs.2,000/- shall be charged. When there is application for allotment for four wheelers and two wheelers for the same number, priority shall be given to four wheeler applicants.

• The applicant should have already applied for registration of his vehicle in the office on the day of application for Current/Tatkaal Scheme.
• The applicant has to choose Current number in the available list of Current number generation report before the registering Authority. Form-RRMA- application for reservation of Current/Tatkaal Number.
• Form-RRMTA – for the applicants who participate in auction for the same Current/Tatkaal in bidding process.
• The applicant has to prepare the Demand Draft for the adequate fees against the Current/Tatkaal Number available for reservation as per the APMV Act and Rules and service charge along with the application.
• If there are more than one applicant requesting for the same number they have to fill the application in Form RRMTA with a demand draft not less than the adequate fees against the Current/Tatkaal Number and should submit the Demand Draft in a sealed envelop to the Registering Authority for bidding process.

Requirements for Renewal of Registration Certificate:
• Form – 25 for Non-Transport Category (duly signed by the Registered Owner / duly signed by owner and financier if covered by finance)
• Original Certificate of Registration.
• Insurance Certificate
• Pollution Under Control Certificate
• Vehicle shall be produced before the Inspecting Authority for inspection in Good Condition.
• Tax payment receipt
• Applicable Green Tax as per Rules.
Note: The application should be filed 60 days before the date of expiry of registration certificate.

Late Fees:  

In case of delay in applying for renewal of certificate of registration, an additional fee of three hundred rupees for delay of every month or part thereof in respect of motor cycles and five hundred rupees for delay of every month or part thereof in respect of other classes of non- transport vehicle shall be levied.     

Validity:
The Non-Transport Category vehicle is renewed for 5 years from the date of approval if application is submitted after expiry date of registration certificate or if it submitted before the date of expiry then 5 years from the date of expiry.
